A Rally Call For Wellness
Obesity rates, anxiety, and depression are still on the rise.
Do you feel like you're working alone and not making a dent? Be encouraged! We are all working on the same building of the Lord, but we are not without an enemy. The Opposer will try and tear down the work we do, so we work with a hammer in one hand and a sword in the other. We build bodies while we guard souls:
"When our enemies heard that it was known to us and that God had frustrated their plan, we all returned to the wall, each to his work. From that day on, half of my servants worked on construction, and half held the spears, shields, bows, and coats of mail. And the leaders stood behind the whole house of Judah, who were building on the wall. Those who carried burdens were loaded in such a way that each labored on the work with one hand and held his weapon with the other." Nehemiah 4:15-17
We each have our work to do, but we work on the same wall. And when women start coming together for one purpose, get ready:
"And each of the builders had his sword strapped at his side while he built. The man who sounded the trumpet was beside me. And I said to the nobles and to the officials and to the rest of the people, “The work is great and widely spread, and we are separated on the wall, far from one another. In the place where you hear the sound of the trumpet, rally to us there. Our God will fight for us.”" Nehemiah 4:18-20
Sisters! If you are reading this, you have been called. You have a passion for faith and fitness, for healing bodies and souls, for fighting sickness in the name of the Lord. Our desires for wellness and wholeness are growing beyond ourselves.
Why were the Israelites rallied?
To fight! Get together and get ready: our God will fight for us. And He's going to win. When you see the battle lines forming and opposition rising, "stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near" (Luke 21:28).
Sometimes fighting looks like finishing the building. Keep at it, the work will be finished and His will be done!
